Hi everyone! As the mundane SAT class came to an end on this lovely Sunday morning, I was very excited for the day to come. I was going to be over at Niyati's house for the night so we can finish the choreography of the dance for the wedding next week (this time it we are doing a combination of Mele Chaliayan and Nagada Sang Dhol, in which everyone will agree that Deepika did phenomenal). As we reached her house, we did the norm; eat, talk, take a whole bunch of selfies, eat a little more..same old same old. In a while, we started the practice. Now this is something that we normally spend quite a bit of time on, and today was no exception. We had to get the song down perfect before we ended the day. And then... Niyati asked me, Her: "Hey Anu, can I ask you for a favor?" Me: "Sure" Her: Could we go on a jog today? Maybe at like 5, the weather feels really nice then" Me: Ermmm....yeah sure we can go *Let me interrupt to say that I am one of the laziest people when it comes to running -- or anything else...* So by around 5 pm we leave the house to go on a trail. And we ran 4 miles. Yes that's right. 4 miles. The only jogging I ever do is letting my mind run. And even that would more accurately be classified as a fast walk. Its sad. But we ran. And we ran. And we ran and ran some more oh my gosh itfeelslikethetrailwillneverendwhyamIstillrunning. Ok so I'll be honest with you, I did not run the whole way -- actually I would have walked most of it if it weren't for Niyati. Actually, I can't remember the last time I went running but I've been jogging my memory. Did you catch that pun? I hope so. But after that completely exhausting workout, we come home tired. No, correction -- I come home tired. Niyati is as replenished as ever. I don't know how that is possible. I really don't. But kudos to her; it is truly amazing :) And what do we do after about 30 minutes? Yup, you guessed it. We danced a little more. I am now poop-ed. But all the pains was taken away at about 9:30 pm we started to make (egg less) chocolate chip cookies which were purely delectable :) The recipe: http://bunchofcooks.blogspot.com/2009/07/egg-free-chocolate-chip-cookies.html And tomorrow? Tomorrow, when my body feels like it will break any minute, we will be having a dance class with Bhama Aunty. I know not what to do; wish me luck.
