Over the course of this year, there were many different events I wanted to post about, but didn't get the chance to -- either because I was busy, didn't have access to the pictures/camera, or just lazy (I blame senioritis). Today, now that I have some time, I shall take a trip back down memory lane and revisit some of those events. First stop: HomecomingAs prep to my first school dance, I made it a point to dress up each day of the spirit week. I don't have photos for all the days, but here are a few from the week and a couple from the dance. Homecoming (as expected), was underwhelming, but despite everything, it was an experience worth having :') Up next: Someone (just) turned 18 :)I know, I know, I already posted about this. But it was a good day, so here are some more pictures. I'll thank myself in the future. Next: my obviously budding careerDear future me,
I don't know if you would remember but there was a point of time in 12th grade where I was not too busy and decided to create a henna company in my free time. I'm talking about advertising, business cards, a new Instagram page. The whole 9. During this period, one way I raised money for my senior class was by doing henna at my mom's work. 5$ per hand -- which is dirt cheap for henna, let me tell you -- and 4 hours of non stop work. It was absolutely exhausting but as the money in my little bucket grew, so did my spirits. Hopefully, I will find time again. I'm going to be a famous henna-preneur one day, mark my words. (Don't worry mom, side business only.)

Last onam I would be celebrating at home before college so I did what any sentimental 18 year old would do: I asked to wear a sari for the first time (Kerala style, that too)
Here are some shots that capture the occasion quite well. |
