I started this blog on my birthday my first year of high school.
4 years later, this site has grown to become a compilation of memories and colorful pictures, allowing me to travel back and relive those days. Even though by no means is this blog supposed to be entertainment for the public (or something of the sort) I hope whoever is reading this enjoys the peek into the few moments of my life. Much love to you all <3 This birthday weekend was spent on a cruise ship, with (most of) the Hunters gang. Ila, Rishi, Ashish and Aakash were also there, so all of the kids got a good chance to bond. In all honesty, it was a nice change to be able to really explore the city (and the ship) with people closer to my age. We learnt more about each other and enjoyed the vacation together. Naturally, just staying on a ship made me gain a few pounds because of the abundant amount of food. The shows were entertaining and view was breathtaking. But unfortunately my search for Ranveer wasn't successful :( This time when we landed in Nassau, Bahamas the kids split up from the parents and we were really able to explore. We walked through the vibrant city markets and into downtown Bahamas. Ashish's dream was fulfilled when we came across a pirate museum, where he learned that leaving a nagging wife and becoming a pirate is a valid option. We ate at a place called the Cricket Club that served authentic Bahamian food and although I was a little doubtful because of the limited veggie options, the vegetable curry had so much flavor that I surprised myself when I finished the whole plate. The beaches were the bluest I've ever seen, presumably because the water near the Bahama's is so shallow. Later, after walking all the way back the the ship and then some more in hopes to find the Queen's Staircase, we realized we were lost and asked a local for help. This man stopped what he was doing and walked us about half a mile to our destination with no complaints. In fact, every person that we met in the Bahama's was incredibly friendly, especially considering that new tourists show up in your town almost every day. Coco Cay was utter paradise. The soft sand, cold water with fishes swimming between your feet, the pineapple drink in your hand -- all made me forget about the math exam I had in two days. We went to an Aqua Park, which had multiple inflatable obstacle courses in the water. The amount of upper body strength that I realized I didn't have is motivating me to work on it now (hahahaha jokes.). That evening, the 26th, everyone brought out a big slice of cake and we celebrated the beginning of my birthday. The perfect end to the perfect cruise <3 HEREEE are more pictures!

During my time in college so far, I’ve come to learn that college involves a lot of give and take. Give me freedom, take away my spice tolerance. Give me raas, take away study time. Give me a new show, take away sleep (so much sleep…). Some pretty exciting things have happened in the past few months.
I attended my first (and second) raas performance! It wasn't an official bid comp, but we did perform on stage :) I am so glad I choose Raas– the members are amazing and the dancing is intense. Our costumes make us look like puppets and I felt so out of place when I had to attend math class with a full face of stage makeup. The exercise encourages me to eat healthier, even though the dessert bar at our dining hall tempts me every day. I’m building muscle and my fitbit (new!!) keeps me on track. Auditions for the spring are happening soon, and I hope that I get to perform in at least 1 comp! I can't wait! |
