After a year of hard work, we could finally let our spirits free with the annual freshman talent show (I said let our spirit's free. I know.) This completely student produced and organized show could not have been any more exciting :) Since ever student was required to go because it was a grade for Dr. Weavers English class, we got to see talents from all ends of the spectrum. You had the normal singing and dancing, then you also had a few bands, comedy, and piano, and that's just to list the very minimum.
For our performance, Vaishu, Jahnvi, Amber and I got together and did Nagada Sang Dhol, and I have to say that although we only practiced about eight or nine times total, the end result was more than I could have ever hoped for. This being Jahnvi's first dance, it was phenomenal, especially for this high intensity feat. At the end of all the items, Nicky and Hannah were kind enough to raise funds to get gifts for all the IB teachers. This day was highly anticipated by everyone, and I'm so glad it was an overall success!! Pictures are a comin' later

Hi! I know, I know, I haven't posted in a while, and I honestly can't even think up of a good excuse for why I didn't. In all honestly, it was just my laziness speaking to me.. Anyway, a lot happened in the two weeks that I was 'out'
And that leads to today... 12. May 27, 2014: More dissection! This time, our victim was a large frog. I will try to be better with keeping up with my life. SOrrY. Mothers Day has finally come and we celebrated in a grand way. As a way to celebrate Mother's Day, Niyati's birthday as well as her grandfathers 75th birthday, we all went to the Indian restaurant, Woodlands, to celebrate. There I possibly had one of the largest bhaturas I had seen and had some finger-licking chole along with it.
** Warning: If you are not Indian or not familiar with the Indian customs, you may not have understood the text above. To wrap up our meal, Niyati pulled out a red velvet cupcake for her grandfather, while at the same time I pulled out a small red velvet cake for her. This was NOT planned. But either way, it was good cake. The next morning, I decided that a good mothers day breakfast would be pancakes, eggs and a few slices of apple on the side (you know, to keep it all healthy ;) Today, i also learned that flipping pancakes is a lot harder than it looks and it takes a bit to get used to. But all in all, the breakfast turned out to be pretty good. Pancakes cooked well and the best part was that no one got salmonella when they ate the eggs!! AYEEE Today, I went into a class, sat down, and proceed to take my very first AP exam.
AP Environmental Science Going into the testing site, I was quite nervous. Coming out, I felt a bit more confident. I'm not saying that the test was easy -- because it was not. I am saying that it was manageable, and not as impossible as I had imagined it to be. Based on the multiple choice as well as the written FRQ portion of the test, I actually have a sliver of hope that I may pass. This particular class was giving me trouble for the entire year, so completing the test feels like a weight has been lifted off Now that this is done, I only have AP Human Geography to go.
