Yesterday was...interesting... I went to bed on Saturday making sure to keep my laptop, phone and iPod in my nightstand drawer. I even went to the extent of making little notes that I stuck around the hands, just to remind myself. When I woke up (not to my alarm) we had to go out to SAT class, which meant I had to go through math without a calculator, which suddenly takes a whole lot longer. After the class, we went to Walmart which was quite hard, because I had to constantly stay in close proximity with dad so that neither one of us got lost. We were home by around 1, I did homework until about 2:30, ate lunch and then we slept. We slept from 3 until 5 o'clock an it felt very good. After I woke from my slumber, I continued with a bit of homework, read for a long time, ate dinner and by then the day was done. I couldn't believe it but I actually got through a day without any devices and I wasn't bored out of my mind. I even made a list of what I could and couldn't use:
What I've felt I needed (but really didn't):Phone: Ok, honestly, I need this one. I couldn't pick up mom's phone twice just because I wasn't supposed to. And Walmart? Let's not even go there. i Products: This one was a bit easier. I didn't need this, but of course, that just makes me want to use it even more. Joy. TV: This one wasn't hard either. I haven't been watching TV as much lately. Laptop: Not using my laptop was not as hard as I expected. The hardest part was not being able to use it for the homework that was due tomorrow. Radio: long car rides.
