After 3 samosas, 2 dances, and 1 giant fall, the second successful year of ISA had been completed. Our first dance was done with Vaish, Yasmina, Mary, Suraj, Sahil, Varun and I, and learning that song was quite an experience with some memories that will leave neither my mind nor my phone. Our second song was done by Seema, Amber, Reyshma, Vaish and I and I have to say that dance turned out to be one of the best. Interesting/Embarrassing event #1: As soon as our first dance was done, I wanted to run (from backstage) to the audience portion of the auditorium in order to see Saumya play an absolutely beautiful piece on the piano. Unfortunately, I only made it a few steps before my foot got caught on the cloth of my patiala pant, and the next thing I knew, my nose was an inch from the ground. No knees, no palms to break my fall. Straight from 5 foot 2.5 inches to ground 0. But what hurt more wasn't the pain, but rather how embarrassing it was to fall like that with so many people watching. Interesting/Embarrassing event #2: A few weeks ago, the seniors had asked me to help them with choreographing parts of their senior dance. I was in charge of the boys single dance and I helped out with another group song. But apparently, by the last period, Vaish had told me that they were planning some grand finale and we should go backstage and watch. After seeing the dance without anything too big at the end, I decided that they were done and told Vaishu that it was probably over. But she kept insisting that there was something else. And there sure was. By the end, all the guys in the dance called me out on stage and thanked me for helping them (they also sang a very cheesy poem) all of which Vaish knew about for the entire day, and which I had absolutely no clue. (I did felt something was up when Vaishu kept insisting for us to stay backstage but I was sure I was just imagining things.) After this long day (+ 20 minutes of getting tickets for movie night), we went to Mary's house to work to work on our science fair project. Suba and Suraj had also come for a little, and during that time, we laugh until I could feel abs magically appear on my torso. By the end we made the (not so fudgy) "fudge" it was about 7, and finally time to go home.
I woke up this morning completely sore. And that is exactly how you know you had a successful day.
