Mothers Day has finally come and we celebrated in a grand way. As a way to celebrate Mother's Day, Niyati's birthday as well as her grandfathers 75th birthday, we all went to the Indian restaurant, Woodlands, to celebrate. There I possibly had one of the largest bhaturas I had seen and had some finger-licking chole along with it.
** Warning: If you are not Indian or not familiar with the Indian customs, you may not have understood the text above. To wrap up our meal, Niyati pulled out a red velvet cupcake for her grandfather, while at the same time I pulled out a small red velvet cake for her. This was NOT planned. But either way, it was good cake. The next morning, I decided that a good mothers day breakfast would be pancakes, eggs and a few slices of apple on the side (you know, to keep it all healthy ;) Today, i also learned that flipping pancakes is a lot harder than it looks and it takes a bit to get used to. But all in all, the breakfast turned out to be pretty good. Pancakes cooked well and the best part was that no one got salmonella when they ate the eggs!! AYEEE
