Today in Dr. Weaver's (English) class we were blind. After watching a very intense and emotional video of Helen Keller, we were supposed to bring blindfolds and pass unknown object around the circle. Even though we know where everything in the class is and who was sitting next to us, we felt isolated. Once we finished that activity, we went outside on a big field with a partner. Putting our blindfold back on, we let our partner lead us where ever they wanted. If your partner wasn't there, even for a second, you feel so helpless. And if your partner leads you somewhere you don't want to go, it doesn't matter because you don't have a say. You don't know where to go, or what to do. Now, we could hear, so it wasn't nearly as bad as what Helen must have experienced. Loneliness engulfs you.
We couldn't last one class period. How did she last a lifetime? On a less serious note, so sorry Varun, I wasn't exactly the guide you expected ;) and I got that right back when Nayha walked me (blindfolded) into the wrong classroom -- on purpose. I have to say though, good job ;)
