** IMPORTANT **
Tomorrow, I am going to try out something new. I will try to go one entire day without any electronics. Although the necessary ones such as cars, fridges, and lights do count, it will be a day of no phones, no Ipod, no tv, and basically, no life. I need to have this written down or else I'm sure I won't follow through. Even with the exceptions, this will be hard. Do you think I will last? You'll find out on Monday..here goes nothing...

After coming home from dinner yesterday, I decided to finally finish at least one of the two remaining panting that I wanted to accompany my other bird picture with (alone, it was too small for the wall...the only problem? I had painted it as a single picture and I had no idea on what to do for the other two sides. But now that I had a bit of time on my hands, I decided to give it a try. It didn't turn out too bad and that's the most I had expected so I was satisfied.
We also put it on the wall! And because the nails and hammer and ladder and patience was all already on the table, my wonderful parents also decided to hang up a couple more of my paintings...something I have been wanting to be done since they were made. Today was a successful day c: Happy Birthday to the best mother anyone could have ever asked for!
Here's to one who won't go to bed until I do, although I insist she should because she has to get up early the next morning. Here's to the one who insists that she make my lunch in the morning, before she goes to work. Here's to the one with the motor skills of an architect, and the mind of a child (sometimes ;) Here's to the one who will come back from work at the airport only to be back to work at home. Here's to the one who really tries to dance though she can't get the exact beat. But she does it anyway. Here's to the one who can sometimes make no sense what-so-ever. Here's to the one who can get mad when others think its not required. (Now I know where I get it from) Here's to the one who will criticize me until I break, but I will be coming out stronger and better than ever. Here's to the one who I absolutely love, although she can be a bit nosy at times; but then again she's my mom and that's also part of her job. :) I love you Mom, and I hope you have an amazing Birthday!! I wake up on this beautiful Saturday morning only to remember that I have to go back to school. No, not for Saturday School (no matter how likely that is ;) but for an AP Skill building day. While we were encouraged to go for the great learning experience, almost all of the people who showed up that morning were there mainly for the extra credit in their classes. (I mean how who could turn down 25 points for Tobin and a free quiz grade for APES?) But honestly, the entire things was not that worth it. Yes, I know that I have to answer all the questions, yes I know that I have to be able to mange my time and so help me God, yes, I know how to breath. Thank you. And the worst part? I was trying to be a good person and make sure I wait my turn for the snacks, but what happens by the time I get there? Yes, they run out. :/ Those snacks were supposed to be the highlight from 9 to 12 that morning. So thank you. The AP thing finishes at about 12 and we head back home only to leave about an hour later for piano Federation. Now, after my incident at the recital (I know I never wrote about that but its better that way..) I wasn't too excited to play those pieces again. I get there and my nerves calm down with the comforting thought that this whole event doesn't really matter. Yes, that is exactly what I was thinking. And that mind set happened to work. I got through both my pieces very smoothly and couldn't have asked for anything better :) 2 parts done, 1 part to go. After we went home (again.) I immediately started to get ready for our (I was doing it with Niyati) Bharatanatym performance at a Chinese New Year gala (long story...) Although we felt very awkward in full costume around an auditorium full of people wearing normal clothes, I would say that we did a pretty good job :) As our performance finished we left to get a bite to eat. Except that happened to be a little more than just a bite. After some ins and outs from Chipotle, and going past a closed Panera, we settled in into Carrabas at about 9:45 at night. Yes, we were one of the last people in the restaurant. The good part? The food was amazing. I ate and ate and ate until the jewelry and strings (aka. nada) holding all the layers of my lower body seemed about ready to rip off. That part, on the other hand, was amazingly horrendous. I could honestly barely walk to the car. We got home by around 11:45 but I wasn't able to got to bed until about 12:30 for the fact that I had to get the ten thousand bobby pins out of my head, my costume off and then wash away the exaggerated eyeliner out of my eyes. For anyone who doesn't know, the best way to get a think layer of makeup off without out making it drip down your face while washing it off, wipe it off with a bit of light cream/lotion and toilet paper. After most of the makeup wipes off like magic, you can wash your face with soap and water. Works like a charm every time ;) |
